Dirt Rich Band

Formed in 2013 in Northern Alberta, The Dirt Rich Band began as a group of friends brought together by a shared love of country music and songwriting. What started as a small spark quickly turned into a full-throttle journey that has taken the band all over the map.

In the spring of 2016, the band released their debut album, Cash Poor, Dirt Rich, featuring radio singles “Your Song,” “Lookin’ For A Job,” and “Right Now.” The release launched extensive touring and opened the door to sharing stages with country music icons such as Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin, Colin Raye, George Canyon, The Stampeders, Brett Kissel, Gord Bamford, Aaron Lines, Aaron Pritchett, Donny Lee, and The Hunter Brothers. Along the way, The Dirt Rich Band performed at music festivals across Western Canada, rodeos, bars, and dancehalls, and even made their mark in Nashville, playing at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge and Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk.

In 2018, the band made several trips to Nashville to complete writing their sophomore album, One More Round, released on May 31, 2019. The album gained national attention and further established the band’s growing presence on the Canadian country music scene. Collaborating with songwriter Steve Mitchell and fellow Canadians Cole Bradley and Darcy John, the album was once again produced by multiple CCMA Award–winning producer Bart McKay.

The momentum continued in 2019 when The Dirt Rich Band earned Alberta Country Music Association Top Ten nominations for Fan’s Choice, Group/Duo, Video of the Year (I Dreamt This Up), Single of the Year (Without Tryin’), and Song of the Year (Without Tryin’).

The band also caught the attention of Grammy Award–winning producer Wyclef Jean, who mentored the group and praised their work, saying of Without Tryin’, “You have a fan down south,” and “That song is going on my playlist!”

Now entering an exciting new chapter, The Dirt Rich Band is gearing up for 2026 with a refreshed lineup and brand-new music on the horizon. Keep an eye out—they’ll be coming to a stage near you.
