Kit Langfield

Kit Langfield is a musician based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Born in Vancouver in 1992, he spent his childhood in Gambia on the west coast of Africa, moving to British Columbia in 2002, where he discovered rock & roll and began songwriting. He was inspired by bands such as Lucero, Social Distortion, and Hot Water Music. In 2009, Langfield joined the Canadian Armed Forces and served in the infantry for three years in the PPCLI 2nd battalion. It was during this time that he was introduced to tattooing, which he later studied in fine arts and pursued as a profession. He settled in Kamloops, where he immersed himself in the punk rock scene and played music with bands such as Second Day Sober, SinkSinCider, and Lost In The Woods. He later chased tattooing to Victoria and Vancouver where he worked until spring 2019, before uprooting his life and moving to Swift Current Saskatchewan to start a band called Cadillac. They recorded and released a 6 song EP before Langfield decided to make the move to Saskatoon to be closer to the city’s live music scene. Now, Langfield is making a mark in the Saskatchewan music industry with his debut album “Restless.” The album features Saskatchewan artists Nevada Eaglespeaker, Bruce Rawling, Will Ardell, Paul Kuzbik, and League of Wolves members David Wickstrom and Aspen Beveridge. Langfield delivers an incredible musical and vocal performance on an album that delivers a range of styles, from mellow singer-songwriter-style songs to full band and distorted guitar-driven tracks. The album is set to release April 13th, 2023, and Langfield will be hosting a single release at The Capitol Music Club in Saskatoon on April 13th. He will also be performing at the Dog Patch Music Festival this summer in Loon Lake, SK.
